Service will include:

• Assisting School Resource Officers at local schools
• Educating the public about crime prevention and public safety
• Serving as a Clearwater Ambassador
• Conducting safety patrols of the local area parks and trails
• Coordinating service projects in the community
• Installing child safety seats
• And more...

Minimum Qualifications:

• Standard High School Diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Citizenship or legal permanent resident alien status
• Pass a mandatory police background screening
• Pass a mandatory drug testing
• Pass an interview panel and ride along evaluation

FULL-TIME POSITION

As an AmeriCorps member, you will serve approximately 35-40 hours a week from January 2012 - December 2012.

Benefits:

• Bi-weekly stipend of $472 (before taxes) from start to end of program
• $5,350 Education Award (upon completion of term of service)
• Health Insurance
• Child Care (if applicable)
• Loan Forbearance
• Valuable law enforcement experience

PART-TIME POSITION

As an AmeriCorps member, you will serve approximately 20-25 hours a week from January 2012 - December 2012.

Benefits:

• Bi-weekly stipend of $249.88 (before taxes) from start to end of program
• $2,675 Education Award (upon completion of term of service)
• Valuable law enforcement experience
