Clearwater Police Launch 2nd Generation Web Site

On September 11, 1999, the Clearwater Police Department launched its next generation web site, Clearwater Police Online, at the internet domain "www.clearwaterpolice.org".   The site, expected to be in an on-going development process ("under construction") for several months, will include a number of additional features with more user-oriented information updated on a regular basis. The new Clearwater Police Online will be maintained entirely by the staff of the Clearwater Police Department.

Clearwater Police Online coincides with a period of technological transformation within the police department.  Several other technology projects are also either in development or undergoing upgrades including GIS, new laptop computers and software for patrol officers, a new records management system, digital crime scene photography and more.
