The deployment schedule of our traffic enforcement
teams varies widely from day to day, season to season. Periodically,
the department deploys many officers in one operation targeting a specific
problem violation (like aggressive driving) or location (like U.S. 19).
Some of these operations involve neighboring law enforcement agencies.
The publication of these operations (often in widely distributed news
releases) does not impair our effectiveness; these notices are intended
to better inform the public of what your police department is doing to
make our roadways safer.

Drink, You Drive, You Lose:
Enforcement Campaign Announced
Click-it Or Ticket Wednesdays - Mid-week enhanced enforcement
operations with emphasis on seatbelt violations. School zones, school
bus stops, and signalized intersections are targeted during these operations.
Booze It & Lose It - As part of the Clearwater Police Department's
commitment to the statewide You Drink & Drive, You Lose campaign
and the Pinellas County Community Traffic Safety Team, saturation patrols
are conducted at various locations throughout the city looking for impaired
drivers and other traffic violations.
