The Support Services Division is under the
command of the Major of the Services Bureau and responsible for
providing fiscal, ancillary, information, and other services for
police department operations. Specific functions of the division
include fiscal management, payroll services, and records services.
The Records
Section stores all offense reports and traffic crash reports
and provides license and permit services to the public. The Records
Section Manager responds to public records requests for reports
and data held by the police department. The Records Section also
provides reports and information to businesses, other governmental
agencies and the public.
The Police Department's Computer Operations is
supported by the City of Clearwater's Information Technology Department
and supports all of the police department's computer systems,
both hardware and software.
The Fiscal Services Unit prepares the department's
employee payroll, coordinates purchasing within the department,
administers the fiscal reporting requirements for grants awarded
to the department, and assists in the preparation of the annual
budget.
