The Patrol Support Unit includes the school resource officers
for both Countryside High School and Clearwater High School, The department's
Volunteer Program and AmeriCorps
Clearwater. The Emergency Response Team is organized within the Patrol
Support Unit and the Unit also manages the assignment of police officers
to "off duty" details for
private employers. Additionally, the department's citizen Ride
Along Program and our Citizen Police Academy
are administered from the Patrol Support Unit.
