Finally respondents were given an opportunity to write any comments, questions, or concerns they may have.  Many respondents wrote voluminous amounts, which were copied and sent directly to the Chief of Police.

  • Young people being targeted for speed, not red light runners.
  • Use tax money for police service instead of PR expense.
  • Objects to Scientologist off-duty work. Favors marijuana use.
  • Feels Countryside Substation is mismanaged; Poor dispatch contact
  • Police patrol during Halloween; No trick or treating after 7 pm
  • More traffic enforcement in Countryside.
  • Great Department; Keep up good work
  • Wish motorcycle officers would set on Countryside more often.  Road is used like a racetrack.  Thanks for the great job.
  • Need to hear follow-ups on cases being investigated. Call with or without answer, people know your working on it.
  • No crimes, but cars and trucks park on the wrong side of road, or parked permanently because they don't work.
  • Officers need to have relationship with the youth, often times teens are being judged based on where they live or their age.
  • Thank you for your good job.
  • Officers are doing a good job.
  • Police powers are too limited by politically correct liberal policy. Police should have the power to stop and question anyone who behaves suspiciously.
  • Clearwater is clean, safe, and quiet.  Police drive by occasionally.  Police Officers are appear neat, quiet, courteous, and competent
  • Don't see officers patrolling neighborhood often.  Do see them on McMullen Booth Rd frequently.   Officer took charge of a situation that arose one day and helped me feel safe while shopping.  Keep up the good work.  No complaints.
  • Neighborhood is safe.  Police are seen doing traffic patrol.  Roads are designed poorly.
  • A fairly serious crime was committed at my home last year. It involved an arrest. I can't believe how quickly CPD responded to the 911 call. It seemed like less than 1 minute. You can't image how important that was to me as I was in imminent danger.
  • Would like more general patrol, not just traffic enforcement.  Lack of police presence.
  • Overall impression formed by watching officers on duty and Blueline CPD is that the department is a professional, competent organization.
  • As a former prosecutor with the SAO, worked closely with CPD officers and found them to be of superior intelligence and common sense - excellent to work with and committed to serving the public.
  • We have lived in "Oak Forest" for 27 years and have been very happy with a feeling of being secure in our neighborhood.
  • Continue with extra patrol.
  • Very pleased with Officer Friendly program.
  • Previous thefts.  Police response good, sympathetic and helpful
  • Concerned with unidentifiable workmen in area around children.  Speeding enforcement or speed bumps on Quail Hollow Rd.
  • Would like drug-free Clearwater
  • Appreciates professionalism and thanks for a good job
  • Worried about use of recreational drugs & alcohol.  Feels Neighborhood Watch program is ineffective and a silly political game.
  • Supports dept 100% and department is excellent.  Sometimes too nice to bad guys.
  • Has seen officers go through traffic lights with light on and then pull into restaurant.  Copy to the Chief
  • Overall good police dept.  Wants more attention to speeding and gypsy problem.
  • more patrol and let the officers to take cruisers home.
  • Seeing few CPD officers not obeying traffic laws - officers should set example.
  • We feel fortunate to live in such an organized well-run situation.
  • My observation of the CPD has been very positive.
  • The department does an excellent job!  I feel that if I needed assistance, I could get it readily.  I respect the job they have and the danger they face.  I'm very pleased knowing they are out there keeping the peace.
  • I see the police presence, and I know my home is safe.
  • Thank You!
  • Juvenile problems in neighborhood are escalating; lack of supervision
  • We feel lucky to live in an area with such a fine police force.
  • Rid the city of the Scientologist.
  • The police have been very effective in dealing with juveniles.  They have been helpful, authoritative and helped teach the kids good judgment and respect for the law.
  • Steep fines should be enforced on people who do not pull over for emergency vehicles.
  • Please do something about the careless drivers.
  • Officers are friendly, qualified, and dedicated, hard working for the community.
  • More Patrolling at night, around neighbor-hood would be valuable.
  • I like the idea behind this survey. I appreciate being asked my opinion.
