Finally respondents were given an opportunity to write any comments, questions, or concerns they may have.  Many respondents wrote voluminous amounts, which were copied and sent directly to the Chief of Police

  • Notification of neighborhood when sexual predator moves into area; background check for all city, county, state employees prior to hire for sake of children.
  • Agree with take home car program for more police presence in neighborhood.  Feel safer when coming home from work (works nights - newspaper carrier).
  • Appreciated help of CPD many yrs. ago in setting up Neighborhood Watch. Rarely have little contact w/police. Very few incidents in neighborhood. Will check website.
  • I would like to see routine patrolling as often as possible to deter any crimes. I paid $92,000 for my house and would like it to keep its value.
  • Traffic Lights should be more synchronized
  • I haven't seen the police in my area.  But I feel my area is pretty safe.
  • More Bike Patrols
  • Good job by CPD
  • The pamphlet that you put together some time ago has been very helpful.  Many thanks.
  • Has not heard negative comments about department.
  • Officers should be on bikes more often in the neighborhoods.
  • Need to see more police out riding around.  Make their presence known.
  • My daughter was involved in an incident in the Sabal Walk Apt. Complex.  I feel that I was threatened just for asking a question because of my race.  I asked to speak with a black cop or detective and was told there was no one on duty at the time.
  • I don't think you are asking the right questions.  People would rather tell you how they think you could help their neighborhoods.
  • I do not think you let the people of Clearwater know what you're doing.  Should have more coverage in the newspaper, radio & TV.  You have to blow your own whistle.
  • Traffic enforcement improvement needed.
  • I've been living at Hillcrest Villas for 22 yrs and every year there are more speeders on 19.  Please do something about it.
  • More consecutive traffic enforcement days on Countryside Blvd.
  • Watch for accidents, drugs, and robberies.
  • Made neighbor-hood safe. Officers are very professional.
