Allegation
On June 16, 2023, Officer Kelsey and Officer Aduddell made an arrest of a subject for carrying a concealed firearm. During the course of follow-up investigation by Clearwater Police Detective, body camera footage showed the firearm was legally possession.
Improper Searches & Seizure (212.57) - No member shall make an improper search or seizure or an arrest or detention not in accordance with current agency directives. Members shall respect the constitutional and civil rights of all arrested or detained persons.
Disposition
Based on the facts documented in the administrative investigation, the Discipline Review Board sustained the allegation against Officer Aduddell.
Discipline/Corrective Action
In accordance with progressive discipline guidelines, Officer Aduddell received a Letter of Reprimand.
