Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years old
• US Citizen (born or naturalized)
• No Marijuana use in the past 12 months
• Never bought, sold or offered to sell any controlled substance
• No illegal use of controlled substances in the past 5 years
• Drug use must be deemed experimental by the department
• No Felony Convictions
• No misdemeanor convictions involving moral character offenses, perjury, being dishonest, or domestic violence offenses

At least one of the following below:

• 30 College Credits
• 3 years of Active Military service with honorable discharge
• Currently certified as a law enforcement or corrections officer, having successfully completed two years of service, not including academy attendance.

Have good moral character as determined by a background investigation under procedures established by the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.

Certifiable per the requirements in F.S.S. 943.13 (7)

Deliberate omission and/or falsification of the personal history form will be an automatic disqualification.
